DALTON – Chester “Chet” McGraner, age 66, passed away peacefully at home on April 6, 2018.

Born on February 19, 1952 in Massillon, OH to the late Ted W. and Vivian (Caudill) McGraner, he was a life resident of Dalton. Chet was retired from the Timken Steel Company in Wooster, OH and was past president of the United Steel Workers Local #1123. He loved to spend time outdoors, especially fishing, and also listening to his 70’s music.

Preceded in death by his wife, Joyce; he is survived by his son, Jeffrey (Roxie) McGraner of Dalton; daughter, Staci Stoffer of Kidron; step daughter, Lisa Walker of Brewster; grandchildren, Anthony McGraner, Taylor Stoffer, Dylan Stoffer; step grandson, Hank Pifer; sister, Dania (Lewis) Saunier of Dalton; brothers, Roland (Susan) of Pittsburgh, Sherman (Sue) of Wooster, George (Glenda) of Dalton; special friend, Laurie Lesley; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Private services will be held by the family with inurnment at Dalton Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the United Steel Workers Union Local #1123 in Chet’s memory. Online obituary and guest registry are available at www.zakmonbarrenfh.com
