DALTON – David T. Lewis, age 77, passed away unexpectedly on April 30, 2017.

Born on January 4, 1940 in Weston, WV to the late Sydney and Geneva (Sisk) Lewis, he was a resident of Dalton for over 50 years, previously of Orrville. David was retired from Serpentini Chevrolet and had also been employed at Westinghouse and Orrville Products.  His passion was being an owner and trainer of Greyhound dogs and loved to field train (race) his dogs.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Jean Britton.  David is survived by his wife of 57 years, Eleanor; daughters, Lysinda (Jim) Shanklin of Dalton, Pamela (Allen) Greegor of Massillon, Teresa (Mike) Martie of Dalton, Sharie (Kimberly) Lewis of Vancouver, WA; son, David J. Lewis of Dalton; 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sister, Doris Hiney of Orrville; other family and friends.
