MASSILLON – Doris I. Saunier-Arney, age 90, passed away on May 3, 2017 at Shady Lawn Health Care after a period of declining health.

Born on June 21, 1926 in Massillon to the late Lewis and Aletha (Bailey) Henry, she was a 1945 graduate of Washington High School and life resident of the Massillon area.  Doris was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years.

Preceded in death by first husband, Clarence Saunier; second husband, Lester Arney; brother, Willard Henry; sisters, Marie Radcliff, Vera Hart, she is survived by sons, Lewis (Dania) Saunier of Dalton, Clarence of Massillon; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; sister, Gladys Markley of North Canton; brothers, Tom (Rose) Henry of Massillon, Dale (Sue) Henry of Orrville, Merle (Gwen) Henry of Greenup, KY; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Shady Lawn Health Care and Community Hospice for their loving care of Doris.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 8, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 11616 Sinclair St. SW, Massillon, OH 44647, with Pastor Timothy Mishler officiating.  Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service.  A private inurnment at Union Cemetery of West Lebanon will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave. SW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.  Online obituary and guest registry are available at www.zakmonbarrenfh.com
