WADSWORTH – Frederick Emch, age 89, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2018.
Born on December 7, 1928 in Cleveland, OH to Jacob and Myrtle (Bennett) Emch, Fred was raised by August and Clara Kimple. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he retired from White Motor Co. and was a resident of Wadsworth since 1986, previously of Fairview Park, OH. A 65 year member of the John W. Barkley Lodge #612 F& AM in Parma, OH he was a one of a kind individual who enjoyed photography, wood working, gardening, and playing his accordion. He loved to go the Senior Center and later became a member of the Wadsworth YMCA, where he could visit with his friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Myrtle Emch; adoptive parents, August and Clara Kimple; sister, Ruth; brother Jacob, he is survived by his sister-in-law, Harriet Emch of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; nieces, Lari (Tim) Watson of Doylestown, Ja-Na Emch of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; nephew, Randy Emch of Peninsula, OH.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Doylestown Health Care Center for their care of Uncle Fred and the kindness to our family. He will be greatly missed, especially by his niece, Lari.
