DOYLESTOWN – JB Newman, age 72, went home to be with the Lord on October 17, 2017 surrounded by family.

Born on December 3, 1944 in Beaver, OH, he spent most of his life in the Akron area. He was the owner of Newman Sign Co. in Akron for 42 years. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, he was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Green, OH.

He is survived by his wife, Bea; son, James (Mary) Newman of Ravenna; sister, Rose (Tom) Henry of Massillon; brother, Gene Newman of Akron; eight grandchildren: many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Eva K. (Mullins) Newman; step-father, Harold Robinson; 3 brothers and a sister.

Funeral Service will be on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church, 1212 Greensburg Rd., Uniontown, OH, 44685, with Pastor Glenn Rogers officiating.  Burial will take place at Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Doylestown, OH.  Family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until time of service at the church.  Online obituary and guest registry are available at www.zakmonbarrenfh.com
