DALTON - James P. Crihfield, age 56, passed away unexpectedly on March 9, 2017.

He was born on March 7, 1961 in Charleston, WV to the late Preston L. and Loretta (Casto) Crihfield.  A life resident of Dalton, James had worked for Rayco for many years as a welder.  He was an avid pool player at Whiteys and other local bars, and enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing.

Preceded in death by his parents; son, Daniel J. (DJ); he is survived by his sister, Annette (Mark) Miller of Massillon, half-brothers, Richard W. (Denise) Canterbury of Dalton, Randy D. Canterbury of FL; nieces and nephews, Jason, Rick, Robin, Joel, Dustin and Katie; other family and friends.

Family will receive friends on Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 29 E. Main St., Dalton 44618 with burial immediately following at Dalton Cemetery.
