Janice R. Jett, age 80 of Doylestown, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on May 26, 2017.

Born on May 31, 1936 in Oakey, WV to the late Earl and Zoa (Jarvis) Truman, she was a resident of Doylestown since 1972.  Janice was a home health aide for many years and had also worked in the Dietary Dept. at Magnolia Care Center. She loved playing bingo, working jigsaw puzzles, and enjoyed bowling and being a Girl Scout leader in her younger years.

Janice is also preceded in death by her husband Blaine in 2007, and her sister Linda Webb.  She is survived by her son, Kenneth (Cindy) Jett of Doylestown; daughters, Sharen Jett (Mike Holik) of Doylestown, Lesa Jett of St. Albans, VT, Diane (Kevin) Davis of Chippewa Lake, Windy Jett of Doylestown; grandchildren, Chasity, Nikki, Jeremy, Emily, Mikki, Kenni; great grandchildren, Tyler, Josie, Lukis, McKenna, Milo; brother, Garland (Ruth) Truman of Barberton; sister, Margie (Dallas) Giles of Elizabeth, WV; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends; her special African clawed tree frog, Sammy and dog, Chloe.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m.at the Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown 44230. Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home in Arnoldsburg, WV where friends may call from 12 p.m. until time of service.  Burial immediately following at Bailey Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your local humane society or to Bailey Cemetery for its perpetual care.  Online obituary and guest registry are available at www.zakmonbarrenfh.com.
