DALTON – Mary A. Baer, age 85, passed away on October 24, 2017.

Born on March 22, 1932 in Massillon, OH to the late Russell L. Sr. and Elsie O. (Eddy) Baer, she was a life resident of Dalton.  A 1951 graduate of Dalton High School, Mary retired from Nationwide Insurance Co. as a legal secretary, and was previously a stenographer for the U.S Federal Courts in Cleveland, OH. Mary loved to sing and dance while living life to its fullest.

Preceded in death by her brother, Russell Baer Jr., nephew, Jerry Baer; she is survived by her brother, Larry D.; sister-in-law, Marilyn Baer; nieces, Bonnie Johnson and Cherie Graham, guardian; nephews, Danny, Tim, Terry, and Tom Baer; lifelong friend, Alex Kisha; her beloved dog, Bambi; other family and friends.

The family wishes to thank Brenda Snyder and the staff of the Counseling Center of Wayne and Holmes County, and also Compassionate Care Hospice for their care and support of Mary.

A private graveside memorial service and inurnment will be held at Sixteen Cemetery with Pastor Tim Hull, officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wayne County Humane Society.  Online obituary and guest registry are available at www.zakmonbarrenfh.com
