MARSHALLVILLE – Robert C. Lowe, age 72, passed away unexpectedly on May 8, 2017.  

Born on December 9, 1944 in Barberton to the late Clyde and Frances (Leimeister) Lowe, he was a 50 year resident of the Doylestown/Marshallville area. A retired teacher with more than 40 years of service, Bob taught science at both Chippewa Local Schools for 27 years and Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School for 17. Bob loved all things outdoors, which included hunting, fishing, boating, and teaching multiple generations about the great “Spirit of the Woods.” He enjoyed spending time with his dogs and attending the activities of his grandchildren, of whom he was very proud.  

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother in-law, Mike Petit.  Bob is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Joan; children, Ann (Tony) Lindeman of Doylestown, Laurie (Scott) Gossard and Ryan (Sarah) Lowe, all of Wadsworth; grandchildren, Sydney and Kara Lindeman, Elaine and Brent Gossard, Kale and Logan Lowe; brothers, Tony (Loretta) Lowe, Mike (Renee) Lowe; sisters, Roseann Page, Barb (Roy) Eikelberry; brothers and sisters in-law, Carol Petit, Jane (Tom) Summers, Joe (Jacquie) Petit, Pam (Mike) Stevens, Paul (Sue) Petit, Terry (Patsy) Petit, Tim (Shelly) Petit; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 161 W. Clinton St., Doylestown, 44230 with Rev. Robert Stein, celebrant.  Burial to take place in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N.
