COLUMBUS, OH – Clara E. DeAngelis, age 89, passed away on December 20, 2018.
Born on January 15, 1929 in Akron, OH to the late Julio and Mary (Bozzelli) Fulvimari, she was a graduate of Buchtel High School and was a resident of Columbus since 1991, previously of Phoenix, AZ, and Barberton, OH. Clara retired as a secretary, having worked with various firms in the Akron area. A member of St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church in Dublin, OH, she was a founding member and organizer of the Northwest Lupus Support Group in Phoenix, AZ, the Over 50 single group in Dublin, OH, and the 50+ group at St. Brigid of Kildare. Clara was a very socially outgoing individual and participated in many other groups and clubs in the Akron / Barberton area.
Preceded in death by her husband, Anthony “Tony” in 1964; sisters, Angie Jacobs, Antionetta Fulvimari, Tina Moore, and Marie Nicholas, she is survived by her sons, Michael (Georgia) of Land O Lakes, FL., Mark (Cindy) of Columbus, Anthony “Tony” (Vicky) of Doylestown; grandchildren, Tony (Lisa) DeAngelis, AnneMarie (Kevin) DeVore, TJ (Michelle) DeAngelis, Amy (Ross) Hall, Lynsey (Jason) Sausaman, and Cari DeAngelis; great grandchildren, Ethan, Lucas, William and Eli DeVore, Dominic DeAngelis, Wyatt & Penelope Hall, Mariana & Annalise DeAngelis; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 161 W. Clinton St., Doylestown, OH, 44230 with Fr. Robert Stein, Celebrant. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron, OH. Calling hours will be one hour prior to service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, Inc. 2121 K Street NW, Suite 200, Washington, DC 20037.
