DALTON - David B. Chaboude, age 54, passed away on December 20, 2017, after a heroic battle with Esophageal Cancer.

Born on February 1, 1963 in Orrville, he was a life resident of Dalton. David had been employed by Wayne Dalton Door for 23 years. He enjoyed being outdoors camping and fishing, listening to music and watching the Weather Channel. 

He is survived by his wife Kathy; stepchildren, Brandy, Joseph and Allison Weisgarber; father, Charles (Betty) Chaboude of Dalton; brothers, Kevin Chaboude of FL, Michael Chaboude of Massillon; step brothers, Edward Happoldt, Richard (Deanna) Happoldt; mother in-law, Glenna Marthey of Massillon; many other special family and friends and his fur babies, Sasha and Brutus. 

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Wooster Oncology for all of their love, care and support. 

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 29 E. Main St., Dalton, 44618.  Family will receive family and friends from 12 p.m. until time of service.  Memorials may be made to Esophageal Cancer Awareness Assoc.
