David "Danny" K. Bailey

BARBERTON – David “Danny” K. Bailey, age 71, passed away on June 22, 2018.

Born on February 26, 1947 in Spencer, WV to the late Noah and Margie (Matheny) Bailey, he was a life resident of the Barberton/Doylestown area.  Dave retired from Babcock & Wilcox with 29 years of service and had also worked with the Doylestown Police Dept. as a patrolman.  He loved his old cars and motorcycles, and spent his winters in Lake Placid, Florida.

Preceded in death by his sister and brother in-law, Judy and Paul Adams, he is survived by his children, Trenton and Danielle; 3 grandchildren; sister, Rita (Chris) McElroy of Copley; brother, Roger (Carol) Bailey of Barberton; nephews, Todd and PJ Adams; niece, Gia Adams; other nieces, nephews, family, and friends. 

The family wishes to thank special friends, Ron Gray and George Curtis for all the help and loving care of Dave during these final months.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 25, 2018 at 7 p.m. at the Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown 44230 with Pastor Rod Grabski, officiating.  The family will receive friends on Monday from 5 p.m. until time of service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.  Online obituary and guest registry are available at www.zakmonbarrenfh.com
