Dr. George Q. "Skip" Seese III, DO

March 21, 1958 ~ November 13, 2017 (age 59) 59 Years Old

DALTON – Dr. George Quimby “Skip” Seese III, DO, age 59, passed away unexpectedly on November 13, 2017.

He was born on March 21, 1958 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late George Quimby Jr. and Nancy (Hyland) Seese.  A resident of Dalton, Skip grew up in the Poland/Youngstown area and was a graduate of Youngstown State University and Ohio University Medical School.  He practiced at Stark Medical Specialty for 25 years with offices in Massillon, Orrville and Dover. Skip loved spending time with his family, watching his beloved Steelers, and going on his numerous fishing trips. He loved being a doctor, helping his patients, and teaching his medical students.

He leaves behind nine children, Amanda (Jerod) Scheufler, Andrew (Amanda) Seese all of Canal Fulton, Michael (Kara) Seese of Medina, Christopher (Kourtney) Seese of Pittsburgh, PA, Katie Seese, Steven (Anna) Seese all of Columbus; Tiffany (Justin) Bracken of North Canton, Seth and Hanna Seese of the home; six grandchildren, Aubrey and Preston Scheufler, Mary Jane and Jake Seese, Gavin Seese and Landon Bracken; brother, Brian (Shelly) Seese of Columbiana; sisters, Marian (Mike) Morrow of Newport News, VA, Sandy (Brian) Denmeade of Columbiana, Kim (Bob) Neiheisel of Leetonia, Beth (Tom) Lavender of Poland; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and good friends.  He is also preceded in death by his brother, Gregg Seese and step-son, Travis Tipton.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 18th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 to 6 p.m. at Living Water Church, 200 N. Kurzen Rd., Dalton 44618.  Funeral service will take place at the church on Sunday at 3 p.m. with Pastors Mark Hirst and Dan Hostetler, co-officiating.  Private inurnment will be held by the family at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Ohio University Foundation Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, 221 Grosvenor Hall, 1 Ohio University, Athens, OH 45701 or to the American Heart Association, 5455 N.
