Duane Miller Obituary

DOYLESTOWN – Duane E. Miller, age 91, passed away peacefully at home on April 6, 2018 after a period of declining health.

Born on August 10, 1926 in Chippewa Twp. to the late Marvin and Elsie (Braucher) Miller, he was a life resident of Doylestown.  Duane had worked at Gerstenslagers in Wooster, but dedicated most of his life to the operations of the family dairy farm.  A veteran of WWII serving with the U.S Army in the South Pacific, he returned home and married Mary Lindeman on July 27, 1947.  He was a member of the Marshallville American Legion Post 718 and Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.  Duane loved to travel with family and friends, and for many years spent the winters with his wife in Bradenton and Ft. Myers Florida.

Preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary in 1999; brothers, Floyd, Gerald “Bud”; sisters, Selma Pratt, Alma Mong, Verda Pfouts, Blanche Wickiser.  He is survived by his children, Dennis (Becky) of Salineville, OH, Rick (Susan), Robert (Linda), Jill (Larry) Villers, all of Doylestown; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild and a great-great grandchild to be born in June; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

The family wishes to thank Sarah Copen, Nancy Smith, Kristine Lassiter, and the fine nurses of Summa Hospice for their loving care of Duane.
