DOYLESTOWN – Edward P. Ivy, age 70, passed away on August 21, 2017.

Born on August 3, 1947 in Akron to the late Alvin J. and Cleo Ivy, he was a resident of Doylestown for the last twelve years, previously of California.  Ed was retired from the Teamsters Union in California.  During the 1970’s, he was also a Doylestown Police Officer and member of the Chippewa Twp. Fire Dept.  He loved to fishing and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children; Kristy Horsburgh of Orrville, Paul Ivy, Jamie (Jodi) Ivy all of Doylestown, Toby (Lisa) Ivy of Navarre; 14 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; mother of his children, Toni McGrevey.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 3 p.m. at the Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown, 44230, with Pastor Nathan Robinson, officiating. Family will receive friends on Saturday from 1 p.m. until time of service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Visiting Nurse, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, OH 44333.  Online obituary and guest registry are available at www.zakmonbarrenfh.com.
