WADSWORTH – Edward “Ed” Schtucka, age 64, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2018, surrounded by his family.
Born on November 7, 1953 in Akron to the late Edward and Juanita (Talley) Schtucka, he was a resident of Wadsworth for 30 years, previously of Doylestown. A 1972 graduate of Chippewa High School, Ed was retired from the A. Schulman Company. Family was the world to Ed. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with Rob, Joel, and the boys, camping, attending his grandchildren’s events, and coaching his daughter’s softball and soccer teams.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Darlene; daughters, Dana (Mike) Janeczek, Alison (Toby) Blake, Cortney (Bart) Schtucka-Becker all of Wadsworth; grandchildren, Logan, Jaden, Ashlyn, Tessa, Mason, Leah, Pacey and Emerson; sisters, Diane (Phil) Shue, Roxanne Baker, Rosemary “Punk” (Mark) Brotherton, Valerie Schtucka; devoted mother in-law, Jewell Ashley; sisters in-law, Debbie (Dave) Schroeder, Jacquie (Bobby) Smaistrla, Dianna (Ted) Gilkerson; brother in-law, David (Jenna) Ashley; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. at the Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown 44230. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Chestnut Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ed’s name to The Scholarship Foundation of Wadsworth, PO Box 441, Wadsworth, OH 44282.
