Eleanor Lewis Obituary

DALTON – Eleanor G. Lewis, age 77, passed away on June 22, 2018.

Born on June 10, 1941 in Mountain City, TN to the late Gaither W. and Floye (Parks) Gentry, she was a resident of Dalton for over 50 years, previously of Orrville. Eleanor had been a crossing guard for Dalton Local Schools for 17 years and had worked at J.M. Smucker Co. in her younger years. She loved to sew and spend time working in her vegetable and flower gardens.

Preceded in death by her husband David T. in 2017 and sister, Judith McGraner, she is survived by daughters, Lysinda (Jim) Shanklin of Dalton, Pamela (Allen) Greegor of Massillon, Teresa (Mike) Martie of Dalton, Sharie Lewis (Kimberly Lewis) of Vancouver, WA; son, David J. Lewis of Dalton; 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brothers, Joseph (Betty) Gentry, Richard (Deb) Gentry, Tommy Jack Gentry, William Gentry, Chuck Gentry, John Barnett; sisters, Carol Lehman, Peggy Hemrick; other family and friends.
