Frank Funk Obituary
RAVENNA - Frank J. Funk, age 67, passed away at home on January 5, 2019.
Born on March 24, 1951 in Barberton to the late Frank S. and Rose Marie (Petit) Funk, he was a resident of Ravenna for 32 years, previously of Akron. Frank retired from Highmark Insurance, and had previously been an IT Tech with various firms for over 40 years. He loved to fish, play cards and watch the Cleveland sports teams.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Barbara; daughters, Andrea (Casey) Knighton of Ashland, Tracy (Mark) Goellnitz of Broadview Heights; grandchildren, Dominic, Zachary, Natalie, Reagan, and Logan (on the way); brothers, Joseph (Barbara) Funk of Doylestown, Tom (Marilyn) Funk of Marshallville, Robert and Michael Funk both of Doylestown; sister, Susan (Harry) Hunter of Doylestown; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 161 W. Clinton Rd., Doylestown 44230 with Fr. Robert Stein, Celebrant. Calling hours will take place on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown.
