DOYLESTOWN – Guy W. Lemmon, age 64, passed away unexpectedly on March 1, 2018.
Born on November 15, 1953 in Wadsworth, OH, he was a life resident of the Doylestown area. A veteran of the U.S. navy, Guy was a member of the Doylestown American Legion Post 407.
Guy was a Chippewa High School graduate (class of 1971) and was skilled in several fields. He was a diesel mechanic; worked on transport refrigeration; and as a carpenter/roofer. He earned his SCUBA certification which allowed him to do underwater salvage in Texas. He was also a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Doylestown. He was a skydiving enthusiast, nature lover, and loving father.
Preceded in death by his mother, Willey Ann (Wertz) Lemmon and his sister Elizabeth Anne Lemmon, he is survived by his daughter, Sherry Lemmon of Phoenix, AZ; father, James Lemmon (Laura Walter); brothers, James A. (Sue) Lemmon, and Roderick (Sandy) Lemmon; nieces, nephews, other family and many dear friends; special friends, Anne Bush, and Tony Vaccaro.
A celebration of Guys life, and military honors will be held on Monday, March 12th at 11:30 a.m. at the Doylestown American Legion Post #407, 49 Black Dr., Doylestown, OH, 44230.
