DALTON – James P. Kelly, age 72, passed away on May 20, 2017.

Born on March 3, 1945 in Uniontown, PA to the late Walter E. and Lela (Minerd) Kelly, James was a lifelong resident of Dalton.  He was a retired truck driver for Lincoln Manufacturing and was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the U. S. Army. His passions in life were big trucks and spending time with his beloved grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lana; sons, Bryan (Becky) Kelly of Dalton, John (Marsha) Kelly of Massillon, Jason (Kristan) Kelly of Dalton; grandchildren, Ashley, Cody, Katie, James, Jesie, Connor, Jaxson; brother, Christopher (Claudia) Kelly of Massillon; sister, Kathleen (Dave) Crouser of TX; many nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with inurnment to be held at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, PO Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.
