DOYLESTOWN – Janet M. Nash, age 70, passed away on October 20, 2018 after a courageous 35-year battle with cancer.
Born on June 22, 1948 in Akron to the late Ernie and Bonnie (Hartman) Gay, she was a resident of Doylestown for 43 years. Janet retired from Northwest Local Schools after 27 years of service as a bus driver. She was a member of Clinton Church of the Nazarene along with several quilting and sewing clubs. A five-time cancer survivor, Janet was strong in her faith and would spend time with her Bible daily. She loved to swim and spend time with her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Paul E. Nash; brother, Ernie E. Gay; sister, Jeanie McCall. Janet is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Bud E. Nash; children, Bonnie Hunt, Bud A. (Christy) Nash all of Doylestown; grandchildren, Treasure, Taylor, Tracy, Tyler (Kanzas), Paul, Andie, Tristan; great grandchildren, Jakari, and Myah; brother, Ernie R. (Jean) Gay of Suffield; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown, 44230 with Pastor Jeff Karnes, officiating. Burial to take place at Clinton Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and have requested for visitors to wear pink for cancer awareness.
