Jerry D. Stone

DOYLESTOWN – Jerry D. Stone, age 69, passed away on May 15, 2018 after a long period of declining health.

Born on September 7, 1948 in Greenbrier County, WV to the late Ernest D. and Ruth (Ball) Stone, he was a resident of the Doylestown/Rittman area. Jerry was a contractor by trade, he built many homes and enjoyed welding, working on cars, and playing the guitar.

Preceded in death by his brother, James (Linda) Stone and sister, Phyllis (Jim) McHenry, he is survived by his wife of 48 years, Loretta; daughters, Donna Kay (Matt) Laird of Pacific, MO, Becky Stone (Mike Cogar) of West Salem, April Stone (Willie Schwinn) of Valley City, Jessica Stone (Anthony Watts) of Rittman; grandson, Xavier Laird; sister, Sharon McCourt of Rittman; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Friends may call on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown 44230.
