Laura L. Shannon, age 63, a life-long resident of Dalton, Ohio died unexpectedly on Wednesday April 26, 2017.

Laura was born on December 9, 1953 in Canton to the late Herbert D. and Norma J. (Walter) Spuhler and married Clett Shannon on August 28, 1974.  He preceded her in death in 1988.  She graduated from Dalton High School in 1972 and was employed as an assistant traffic manager at the M.K. Morse Co. in Canton, OH.  Laura loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and her great grandson.  She enjoyed working with calves and donkeys as well as tending to her flowers.  Friends and family will always remember her for her kind heart and concern for others.

Surviving are her children, Daniel Shannon (Suzette Michaels) of Dalton, April Shannon (Josh Mann) of Massillon; grandchildren, Rose Shannon (David Lance), Emily Shannon, Josh Hylton, Chandler and Samantha Michaels; great grandson, Gavin Lance; nephew, Jeremy (Brittany) Stover; brother, Thomas Spuhler and sister, Susan Stover both of Dalton.

Private graveside services will be held at Stanwood Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 5455 N.
