Norma E. DeGregory

DOYLESTOWN – Norma E. DeGregory, age 95, passed away July 6, 2018 surrounded by her family.

Born on January 11, 1923 in Somerville, MA to the late Erminio and Sylvia (Scigliano) Scalingi, she was a resident of Doylestown since 1993, previously of West Akron.  Norma retired from Barberton City Schools and was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband Andrew in 2005; daughter-in-law, Kathy DeGregory; brothers, Ciro and Al Scalingi; sister, Mary Scalingi. Norma is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Jurkowitz of Homer, OH, Joan (Douglas) Maser of Brecksville; sons, James DeGregory of North Lawrence, Michael DeGregory of Rootstown; grandchildren, Joseph (LeeAnne) Jurkowitz, Maria DeGregory, Anthony DeGregory; great grandchildren, Jenna, Kate and Mollie; sister, Marie Ritucci of MA; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 161 W. Clinton St., Doylestown 44230 with Fr. Robert Stein, celebrant.  Burial to take place at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.  Family will receive friends on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N.
