DALTON – Ralph C. Hamrick, age 80, passed away on September 14, 2017.

Born on November 13, 1936 in Bergoo, WV to the late Olan and Ellen (Schaffer) Hamrick, Ralph has been a resident of the Dalton area since he was 15 years old and attended Abundant Life Christian Fellowship in Massillon. He retired from Orrville Products after 47 years of service.  An avid hunter, especially deer, he enjoyed doing plumbing and electrical work and was always there to help others.

Preceded in death by his brother Jack; sister, Wanda Mollahan; he is survived by  his wife of 50 years, Miriam; children, Carolyn Murray, Ellen (Bill) Compton, John Hamrick, Ruth Parry (John Mitchell), Teresa Falb, Paul (Angee) Hamrick; 21 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; brothers, Elzie Hamrick, Denzel (Joyce) Hamrick; other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 6 p.m. at Abundant Life Christian Fellowship at their new facility at 641 Tremont Ave. S.W. (the old Demmer Hardware), Massillon, OH 44647, with Pastor Shane Cockrill officiating. A private inurnment will be held at a later date.  The family will have an open house to receive friends on Thursday from 4 p.m. until time of service at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Akron Children’s Medical Center, 214 W.
