Richard “Rick” W. Lowry, age 72, passed away on May 20, 2017.

Born on June 21, 1944 in Barberton to the late William and Elizabeth (England) Lowry, he was a resident of Akron.  Rick had been employed by NASA’s Godard Space Center in Virginia, Ohio Farmers Insurance, and Diebold.  He was also co-owner of Choy Aviation at Akron Municipal Airport.  Rick enjoyed reading and being around airplanes.

Rick is survived by his brothers, Gary (Laurie Schrank) Lowry of Bath, Terry Lowry of Rittman; niece, Wendy (Andrew) Saliga of Brunswick; great nieces, Aidean Joann and Devin Elizabeth; aunt and uncle, Rea (Charles) Ross of Akron; 3 step-nieces and a step-nephew; four step-great nieces.

The family would like to thank Kevin and Patrick for their love and support of Rick.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 161 W. Clinton St., Doylestown 44230 with Fr. Robert Stein, Celebrant.
