DALTON – Roger D. Bailey, age 74, passed away on May 1, 2017.
Born on April 1, 1943 in Massillon to the late Earl and Virginia (Miller) Bailey, Roger was a resident of Dalton for six years, previously of Massillon. He retired from Sunrise Equipment and had previously worked for Ansell Perry. Roger was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the U.S. Army, and attended Living Water Community Church. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially camping and boating at Tappan Lake.
Preceded in death by his brother, Edward Bailey, he is survived by his wife of 36 years Pamela S. (nee, Mozcek); daughter, Jennifer (Michael) Cress of Massillon; step sons, Joey Lunsford of Dalton, Brian Lunsford of Canton; grandchildren, Kevin, Samantha, Tracey, and Morgan Cress; step grandchildren, Brian, Timothy, Morgan, and Ella Lunsford; other family and friends.
Family will receive friends on Friday, May 5, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. at the Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 29 E. Main St., Dalton, 44618. Military honors will be provided by the 555th Honors Detachment at 7p.m. A private inurnment will take place at a later date.
