Ronald L. Reynolds

DALTON – Ronald L. Reynolds, age 81, passed away on November 8, 2018.

Born on October 30, 1937 in Lima, OH to the late David L. and Helen (Miller) Reynolds, he was a lifelong resident of Dalton.  Ron retired from the Dalton Local Schools as a bus driver after 32 years of service and was a street superintendent with the village of Dalton for 17 years.  He was also owner and operator of Ron’s Sunoco and had been employed by the Shell in Dalton and the SOHIO in Wooster.  Ron was a member of Cornerstone Community Church and was an honorary member of the Dalton Fire Dept.  An avid fan of the Bulldogs, Browns, and Buckeyes, Ron enjoyed spending time with his children and coaching the Dalton Youth Leagues for Baseball and Softball.

Preceded in death by his sister, Marilyn Reynolds, he is survived by his children, David (Jennifer) Reynolds of Dalton, Renee (Bret) Numbers of Loudonville, OH, Rick (Katy) Reynolds of Wooster; 13 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sister, Joyce (Charlie) Cass of Troy, OH; other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Cornerstone Community Church, 18600 Davis Rd., Dalton, OH, 44618 with Pastor Tim Hull, officiating.  Burial to take place at Dalton Cemetery.  Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 29 E. Main St., Dalton, OH.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ron’s memory to LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH, 44691 or the Dalton High School, Athletic Department, C/O John Gregory, 177 N.
