Scott Holcomb Obituary

DOYLESTOWN – Scott R. Holcomb, age 58, passed away at home on January 29, 2019 after a long illness.  He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend.

Born on January 20, 1961 in Akron, he was a resident of Doylestown since 1988, previously of Cuyahoga Falls, OH.  Scott retired from Pepsi-Cola in Wadsworth after 39 years of loyal service.  A member of Teamsters Local #293, and Lagrange Engine Club, he loved restoring antique tractors, collecting tools, and spending time with his family.  Scott had a quick and sarcastic wit, always looking for opportunities to help others.  He had a crusty exterior with and a “warm, gooey center” and a kind heart.

Preceded in death by his father, Richard, he is survived by his wife of 36 years, Robin; sons, Ryan (Sarah) of St. Louis, MO, Zachary of Doylestown; mother, Brenda L. “Bunny” Holcomb of Lagrange, OH; brother, Jeff (Elvira) of Switzerland; sister, Terri (Keith) Wiley of Akron; nephews, Mikhail “Joe”, Adam and Rick; niece, Elisa; father and mother in-law, Lloyd and Sandra Shockey; other family and many friends.

Per Scott’s request, there will be no formal services or calling hours.  A family gathering to celebrate Scott’s life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, please spend time making special memories with your family.  Online obituary and guest registry are available at www.zakmonbarrenfh.com
