CLINTON – Shirley A. Manley, age 82, passed away on February 19, 2019.
Born on August 17, 1936 in Cabin Creek, WV to the late Alfred and Dorothy (Massey) Ellis, she was a resident of Clinton since 1983. Shirley graduated from East Bank High School in West Virginia, and had been employed at J.M. Smucker’s, Akron General Medical Center, and Wal-Mart in Canton. She was a member of the Doylestown American Legion #407 Ladies Auxiliary and the Luna Lake Club. She loved spending time in her flower gardens and felt that her most important job was her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, William; brothers, Bob and Don Ellis; sister, Connie Snyder; father and mother in-law, Dwight and Lennie Manley Sr.; sisters in-law, Helen Ellis and Rosemary Manley; brother in-law, Thomas Simon. Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Dwight “Skip” Manley Jr.; daughter, Kay (Ron) Dannemiller of Doylestown; grandchildren, Shawn (Paula) Ramsey, Craig (Megan) Ramsey, Phoukhao (Crystal) Sisouphanh; great grandchildren, Breanna (Kyle) Whitworth, Jacob, Kama and Emma Ramsey, Kyle and Kaliana Sisouphanh; great great-grandson, Liam Whitworth; sisters, Linda (Sam) Nestor, Brenda (Michael) Hornyak; sister in-law, Janet Ellis; brothers in-law, George Manley, Jim (Marilyn) Manley, Raymond (Bert) Snyder; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 25, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. at the Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown, 44230 with Rev. Kevin DeJournett officiating. Burial to immediately follow at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
