Teresa G. Parsons

RITTMAN – Teresa G. Parsons, age 61, passed away on January 1, 2019.

Born on April 27, 1957 in Akron, she was a resident of Chippewa Township for 40 years.  Employed by Magnolia Health Care Center for 35 years as a nurse, Teresa was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family, and loved spoiling her grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her father, Ivan Ward; brother Lawrence Ward, she is survived by her husband and love of her life for 41 years Robert; son, Daniel (Heidi) Parsons of Seville; daughter, Emily N. (Jeff) Yost of Doylestown; grandchildren, Preston R., Everett J., and Anya Jane Marie Parsons, Sophia Joy, Andrew J., and Jase C. Yost; mother, Shirley (Mullens) Ward of Barberton; sister, Judy Hess of Barberton; brothers, Phillip Ward of Loudonville, Dave (Debra) Ward of Tennessee, Donald (Sue) Ward of Wadsworth; sister-in-law, Doris Ward of CA; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Paul Masci and his staff, and LifeCare Hospice for their loving care of Teresa.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 65 W. Clinton St., Doylestown, OH, 44230 with Pastor Paul Thoms and Brian Kinnard co-officiating.  Burial will be at Chestnut Hill Cemetery.  Calling hours will be on Friday from 5-8 p.m. at Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown, OH, 44230, and one hour prior to service time at the church.
