Albert D. Shed

DOYLESTOWN – Oh, my love, I try to imagine the sights you are seeing, the plans you are making, the tremendous love you must feel right now. I am certain that your 63 years on this earth cannot compare to heaven. Did you get your fishing pole yet? December 6, 2021, your hand slipped from mine, but my heart will hold you forever.

Born on May 11, 1958 in Norfolk, VA to the late Kenneth and Lee (Irwin) Shed, he was a resident of Doylestown for 20 years, after living in Texas most of his life. Albert was a member of Crossroads Community Church- a place that he so dearly loved. He also thoroughly enjoyed his 14-year career as a driver for Melton Truck Lines. He loved the staff and the other brothers on the road with him. But ultimately his heart was always at home with his wife and family, and especially his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Amy; sons, Kenneth (Jewel) Shed of TX, Chase (Anna) Shed of TX, Blake Shed of Wadsworth, Adam Shed (fiancée, Natalie) of Massillon; step sons, Josh (Jen) Strauss of Rittman, Bud Strauss (fiancée, Kelly) of Cleveland; 8 grandchildren he loved tremendously; brother, David (Glenda) Shed; sisters, Nancy Shed, Susan (Kenny) Newton, Betty (Lynn) Sloan; brothers, John (Terri) Neely, Mike (Maryann) Neely, sister, Nancy (Bill) Campbell, brother, Pat Neely; mother in-law, Jean Neely; beloved nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral service will be Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Crossroads Community Church, 700 Gates St., Doylestown, OH, 44230 with Pastor Jerry Butcher, officiating.  A private burial will take place at Chestnut Hill Cemetery.
