Arvin R. Boyan

DOYLESTOWN – Arvin R. Boyan, age 94, passed away on June 4, 2022.

Born in Akron to the late Richard and Ethelyn (Allen) Boyan, he was a life resident of Doylestown having lived all but a few years in the same home.  Arvin was self employed and had installed siding and windows until he retired when he was 72.  A veteran of the Koran War serving with the U.S. Army, he was a member of the Doylestown American Legion #407 and loved to be outdoors, fishing, and camping.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Rita in 2014, and his brother, Laverne Boyan.  He is survived by his children, Karla Thompson of Orrville, Dallas (Christine) Boyan of Doylestown, Linda Boyan of Fl, Carol (Tony) Held of CA, Marie Boyan (Tracey) of Cleveland, OH; 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; other family and friends.

Funeral service will be Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown, OH, 44230 with Pastor Rod Grabski, officiating.  Burial will take place at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery.  Calling hours will be Friday evening from 5-7 p.m.  Flowers may be sent to the funeral home.
