Bertha J. Landis

DOYLESTOWN – Bertha J. Landis, age 87, passed away on July 17, 2023.

Born on March 18, 1936 to the late Omar and Blanche (Warstler) Givler in North Canton, OH, Bertha had been a resident of Doylestown since 1976. A graduate of Aultman School of Nursing, she retired from Wadsworth Rittman Hospital as an RN in 1997.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dean Landis; son-in-law, Don Ohde; sister, Rachel (Robert) Soderquist; and brothers, Omar (Shirley) and Earl (Kathy) Givler. Bertha is survived by her children, Diane Ohde of Tipp City, Cheryl (David) Whytsell of Millersburg, Dan Landis of Doylestown, and Cynthia (John) Hendershot of East Berlin, PA; and grandchildren, Susannah Ohde, Dean Ohde, Seth Hendershot, and Arissa Hendershot.

Funeral services to take place Friday, July 21, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 65 W. Clinton St., Doylestown, OH 44230 with Pastor Jane Mokren officiating. Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Burial to take place at Easton Union Cemetery.
