Betty M. Cline

DOYLESTOWN – Betty M. Cline, age 78, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2023.

Born on September 27, 1945 in Mercer County, PA to the late David and Alice (Buckalew) Cline, she lived in Uniontown and then moved to Doylestown where she was a lifelong resident.  A graduate of both Doylestown/Chippewa High School and the University of Akron, Betty retired from the Akron General Medical Center where she worked in the library. She also worked for the Doylestown Library for many years. Betty was a member of the Doylestown United Methodist Church, the Doylestown Garden Club and volunteered at the Akron Ronald McDonald House for years. She was an avid reader, loved to quilt, and travel with her special group of friends.  

Betty is survived by her children, Debra (David) Wheatley of Pataskala, OH and Michael (Melanie) Vesner of Doylestown; grandchildren, Clay Ashley, Brooklynn Wheatley, Camden Wheatley, and Ethan Vesner; great grandson, Crew Ashley; brother, Robert (Beth) Cline of Doylestown; sister, Peggy (Dan) Hansen of FL; niece, Jennifer Cline; nephew, Matthew Cline and other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023 at 7 p.m. at the Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown, OH, 44230 with Pastor Dave Tennant, officiating.  Calling hours will be from 5 p.m. until the time of service on Friday.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ronald McDonald House of Akron, 141W.
