WADSWORTH – Betty L. Coffman, age 88, passed away on November 14, 2021.
Betty was born on September 12, 1933, in Barberton to the late Lawrence “Slim” Price and Susie Mae (Hill) Price. At the time of her death, she was a resident of Wadsworth. Betty lived in Orlando, Florida for 23 years and prior to that was a resident of Doylestown, Ohio. Betty obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Kent State University and retired from the Barberton City Schools after 25+ years as an elementary school teacher. A longtime member of Calvary Wesleyan Church, Betty was an avid reader, enjoyed singing and traveling, and served as Activities Director at Gulfstream Harbor in Florida.
Preceded in death by her husband, Ronald, in 2003, and sisters, Marjorie Caramela and Catherine Mae Price, she is survived by her children, Michael (Nancy) Coffman, Orlando, FL; Vicky (Tom) Wellman, Lodi, OH; Kelly (Ronnie) Wingate, Toledo, OH; and Margie (Dave) Davies, Charlotte, NC; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and other family and friends.
A private graveside service with inurnment at Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Doylestown will be held by the family. Memorials may be made to The Village of St. Edward, 880 Main Street, Wadsworth, OH 44281. Online obituary and guest registry are available at www.zakmonbarrenfh.com
