DALTON - Betty Marie (Bushwack)Hamilton left this earth on Monday, February 15, 2021 to be with her Lord and reunited with the love of her life, Russell.
She was born in Akron to John & Lucille Bushwack on September 11, 1927. She married Russell Hamilton on September 17, 1949 and they shared 66 years together. They raised nine children; Marie (David) Septer, Alice (Tony) Stotler, Russell (Ginny) Hamilton, Teresa (Steve) Gross, Rose (Claus) Siebenhaar, Dan (Sandy)Hamilton, Mark (Kellie)Hamilton, Cindy (Jason) Morrison and Kathy (Andy)Pea. They were blessed with 28 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russell; brother, Michael Bushwack and great grandson, Korbin Grismer.
Betty’s strong faith was evident in all areas of her life. As a longtime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Wooster, she served her church communities wherever she was needed. There was always room for one more at her table, which often included a parish priest. She loved to travel, visiting 49 of the 50 states, missing only Alaska. She also made several overseas trips, including Rome and the Holy Lands. Betty worked many jobs in her 93 years and was a familiar face at the Dalton Greenhouse for the past three decades. She met everyone with a smile and her generosity knows no bounds. She regularly remembered family and friends with cards and homemade goodies.
Our hearts are broken at losing her, but we know hers is whole again by joining her beloved husband and her Lord. It is truly hard to grieve for Betty as she has left more on this earth than she has taken with her.
