Betty L Parker

LAKEWOOD, OH – Betty L. Parker, age 90, passed away on June 2, 2022.

Born on October 22, 1931 in Springfield, MO to the late Leitus V. and Hattie Lou (Balch) Driver, she was a resident of Lakewood since 2005, previously of Doylestown. Betty attended Lakewood Presbyterian Church and volunteered for the church bringing food to the homeless. She was a co-owner of Pieces of the Past with her husband, Bobby David Parker, where they restored antique linens and quilts. Betty was a talented seamstress and enjoyed antiques. She and Bob had many happy camping memories with their children and extended family in the Smokey and Rocky Mountains. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby David Parker and son, Steven David Parker; twin sister, Evelyn “Weasie” Fuqua; and brother, Leitus Driver. She is survived by her daughters, Melanie Parker of Niwot, CO, Alisa Lawson, and Ginger (Erich) Burnett all of Lakewood; grandchildren, Ashley, Keegan, Alana, Alan, Julian, Jameson, and Isabella; and sister, Judy (Jo Mae) Bergdorff.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 12 p.m. at Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St, Doylestown, OH 44230 with Pastor Rod Grabski officiating. Burial to take place at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Marshallville, OH.  Calling hours will be from 10:30 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday.
