Wooster – Bonnie C. DeLauder, age 86, passed away on December 6, 2023.
Born in Sewanee, TN on November 25, 1937 to the late Phillip and Ola (Long) Owen, Bonnie had been a long time resident of the Wooster / Doylestown area. A graduate of South High School in Akron, she also attended Akron Beauty School. Bonnie retired from Bank One / Chase after 19 years and had been in the banking business for over 30 years. She had also worked for the Rittman Press. Bonnie enjoyed sewing, quilting, embroidery, John Wayne westerns, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Hilbert Boothe; husband, Millard DeLauder; grandson, Jason Boothe; daughter-in-law, Nancy Boothe. She is survived by her children, Fred (Deb) Boothe of Florida, David Boothe (Kim Koerner) of Mentor, Larry (Lysa) Boothe of Orrville, and Carolyn Boothe of Smithville; 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; many step children, step grandchildren, step great grandchildren; cousin, Ina Faye Gainer; sister-in-law, Naomi Boothe; special friends, Kay Grubb, Denny and Andy DeGeronimo, Laurel Crider, Liz Swisher, Marlene Widmer; other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, December, 17, 2023 at 6 p.m. at East Chippewa Church of the Brethren, 7207 Chippewa Rd., Orrville, OH, 44667 with Pastor Brad Kelley, officiating. A private inurnment will take place at Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Doylestown, OH. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Well Spring Hospice or The Wounded Warrior Project.
