DOYLESTOWN – Carl E. Goehler, age 86, went upstairs on October 6, 2023. Born in Norton, Ohio on March 8, 1937 to the late Mearl and Vada (Keck) Goehler, Carl had been a resident of Doylestown since 1964. A graduate of Norton High School, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Carl retired from Firestone / Bridgestone in 2000 and had formerly been a member of the Norton Fire Department. A member of the Norton High School Alumni Group, he enjoyed listening to music and talk radio, working on cars, and he could fix anything.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary; daughter, Cristy Balogh; and brothers, Paul, Richard, and Melvin Goehler. Carl is survived by his daughters, Rebecca Qualls (Tim Pelfrey) of Doylestown and Roberta (Reggie) Hicks of Calabash, NC; grandchildren, Angie (Josh) Overton, Jennifer (Doug) Porter, Kelly Balogh, Jordan (Matt) Lambert, and Cheyenne (Michael) Herrera; great-grandchildren, Cameron and Gabe Overton, Lilly and Braydon Moran, Haylee Hillyer, and Ford Lambert; great-great-granddaughter, Addy Branham; sister, Janice (John) Gross; sister-in-law, Patricia Goehler; many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
