Carol J. Snyder

DOYLESTOWN – Carol J. Snyder, age 93, passed away unexpectedly on December 20, 2024.

Born on June 6, 1931 in Doylestown to the late Roy and Lola (Yannayon) Hershey, she was a life resident of Doylestown.  Carol was a care giver to others her entire life.  She had worked at Sara Lee Nursing Center, Akron General Medical Center, had been a nanny, and then finished her career as a home health provider.  Carol enjoyed people, always helping everyone she came into contact with.  She cherished her friendships and held onto them for life. She will always be remembered for her hard work and dedication.  She loved every job she ever had including wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald in 1983; daughter, Janet Williams; grandchildren, Jennifer Snyder, Bryan LaBelle; sister, Dorothy “Dot” (Larry) Horne; brother-in-law, Harold Adams, she is survived by her children, Russell Snyder of MO, Joyce (Dan) Marshall of Doylestown, John Snyder of CO, Donna (Brian) Williams of Doylestown; 15 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and one on the way; sisters, Jan (Dave) Conrad, Marcene Adams, Nancy Hershey; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2025 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown, OH 44230. A private inurnment will be held by the family at Chestnut Hill Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY, 10306.  Online obituary and guest registry are available at www.zakmonbarrenfh.com
