Catherine Miller-Kiner Obituary

Dalton - Catherine M. Miller-Kiner, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, peacefully passed away on February 12, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on October 1, 1933, in Holmes County to the late John P. and Alma (Wolgamot) Carillon, Catherine's life was a testament to love, kindness, and dedication.

Catherine spent her golden years in Dalton for 33 beautiful years, previously calling Florida and Smithville her home. As a devoted member of the Moreland United Methodist Church, she found joy and solace in her faith. Catherine's love for gardening and flowers was well-known, and her talent as a seamstress brought beauty and comfort to many.

Catherine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Miller Sr.; her second husband, Gerald Kiner; and her dear grandson, Justin Goudy. She is lovingly remembered by her children, John D. Jr. (Diane) Miller of Pace, FL, Blaine (Tammy) Miller of Wooster, Vickie Lynn (Joseph) Jette of Dalton, and Deborah (Ed) Ault of Burbank; stepchildren, Donald (Mary) Kiner of Holmes County and Hilda (James) Groves of WV; and her adoring 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and one precious great-great-grandchild. Catherine's extended family, including step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with countless friends, will forever treasure her memory.

A committal service to honor Catherine's life will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025, at 12:45 p.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd., Seville, OH 44270. Friends and family can leave their tributes and memories online at www.zakmonbarrenfh.com.
