DOYLESTOWN – Charles R. Treadway, age 85, passed away on March 18, 2023. Born on April 4, 1937 in Beckley, WV to the late Clinton and Nettie May (Honaker) Treadway, he retired from Thomarios Painting after many years of service, previously working for Arthur Painting. A resident of Doylestown for 58 years, Charles had been an avid hunter, loved working on cars and watching NASCAR along with spending time with his family. He enjoyed his Saturday mornings at McDonalds with his best buddies Danny and Ralph.
He is preceded in death by his son, Steve Treadway; brothers, Junior, Jackie, and Frank Treadway; sisters, Annabelle Hagans, Estelle Ayers, Joyce Chiras, Alice Carpenter, and Betty Jo Williams. Charles will be missed by his wife of 66 years, Ruby; daughter, Kelly (Jerry) Capen of Doylestown; grandchildren, Elicia Majer and Cody (Jasmine) Capen; great-granddaughter, Haley; brother, Howard Treadway; sisters, Sue Warner, and Judy (David) Scites; numerous nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N Portage St., Doylestown, OH 44230 with Pastor Rod Grabski, officiating. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Inurnment to take place at Woodlawn Cemetery at a later date.
