Daniel P. Busson

BARBERTON – Daniel P. Busson, age 59, passed away on November 17, 2025.

Born on April 8, 1966 in Barberton, OH, he was a resident of Barberton for many years, previously of Doylestown.  In addition to his United States residency, he spent several months every year living in Thailand. A graduate of Chippewa High School, he attended Baldwin Wallace on a football scholarship, then graduated from the University of Akron.  He was a self-employed contractor who enjoyed remodeling homes and had previously been in the insurance industry.  In addition to his love for travel, he had a passion for old cars, Harley Davidson motorcycles and being outdoors hunting and fishing.  His ability to cook would rate above most and he would be the first to tell you that his cooking was the best. Dan was a member of the Wadsworth Eagles.

Preceded in death by his father, G. Patrick Busson, he is survived by his mother, Carolyn Busson sister, Michele Busson and his special friend Lori, all from Barberton, numerous cousins, other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025 at 7 p.m. at the Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown, OH, 44230 with Deacon Dale Youngblood, officiating.  Calling hours will be from 5 p.m. until time of service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Barberton Summa Hospice.  Online obituary and guest registry are available at www.zakmonbarrenfh.com
