David P. Garcea

AKRON – David P. Garcea, age 68, passed away on April 8, 2023.

Born on December 9, 1954 in Orrville, OH to the late Joseph E. and Margaret K. (Pearhac) Garcea, he was a life resident of the Akron / Doylestown area and a 1973 graduate of Chippewa High School. A musician throughout his life, David was a member of various bands to include Croesus, and The Kids but went on to retire from the University of Akron, IT Department. His enjoyments were the technical side of computers and watching baseball.

He is survived by his children, David, and Christine; longtime companion and friend, Ramona McQuiter; brothers, Joseph Garcea of Portage Lakes, John Garcea of FL, Jim (Denise) Garcea of Bridgeport, OH, Tom (Mindy) Garcea of Doylestown, Tim (Shari) Garcea of Uniontown; twin sisters, Jean (Chris) Dyer of TX, Tina (Jeff) Wilson of TX; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
