Obituary

MASSILLON - Dennis “Denny” W. Galehouse Jr., age 89, passed away on January 16, 2023.

Born on November 26, 1933 in Barberton, OH to the late Dennis W. Sr. and Ida E. (Lowry) Galehouse, he had been a resident of Massillon for the last 12 years, previously of Canal Fulton and Wooster. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Denny had worked as a teacher for Wooster City Schools and was then owner of a car care company before retiring as a truck driver for Regional Expedite. He loved all sports and spending time with his grandchildren talking about sports.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Jan Napier. Denny is survived by Margie Galehouse; children, Pam (Dan) Grissom of Canal Fulton, Jill (Jack) Burke of Dalton, Gary Galehouse (fiancée, Meghan Farrar) of Cuyahoga Falls, and Marty (Andrea) Galehouse of Simpsonville, SC; 10 grandchildren; brother, Jerry (Carol) Galehouse of Georgia.
