Dennis "Denny" F. Durbin

DOYLESTOWN – Dennis “Denny” F. Durbin, age 84, passed away on November 4, 2024 surrounded by family.

Born on July 20, 1940 in Doylestown, OH to the late Ralph and Frances (Sapp) Durbin, he was a life resident of Doylestown.  A graduate of Doylestown High School where he was a four-sport high school athlete and state champion pole vaulter in 1958, he went on to obtain a bachelor’s degree from the University of Dayton.  Denny retired as a carpet salesman having worked with various companies throughout his career.  He was a former board member with Chippewa Local Schools and was inducted into the Chippewa Local Schools Athletic Hall of Fame in 2018.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Ramona L. “Mona”; daughter, Dana Busson; brothers, Dick, Dave, and James (Faye) Durbin; sisters, Anne Bush, and Ruth Doyle, he is survived by his loving friend and companion, Irene Rohr; sons, Pat Durbin of Canal Winchester, OH, Chris (Tiffany) Durbin of Doylestown; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Ralph (Patty) Durbin of Doylestown; sister, Joan (Bob) Gallina of Minerva, OH; sisters-in-law, Pat Durbin and Mary Durbin; other family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 12p.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 161 W. Clinton St., Doylestown, OH, 44230 with Fr. Peter Morris, Celebrant.  Interment to follow at Chestnut Hill Cemetery.  Calling hours will be Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown, OH, 44230.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sts.
