DALTON- Dianna F. Pappas passed peacefully in her sleep on January 31, 2024.
Born May 18, 1949, Dianna resided in the Dalton area most of her life. She graduated from Dalton High School in 1967. She worked most recently in Massillon School district and Dalton Local School district. Dianna loved life and loved her family and loved her friends. No matter who came to visit, they were greeted with “Hi, honey! Come on in!” She hugged everyone she greeted. She enjoyed a good laugh, a sweet glass of wine, card club with the women in the family, and playing euchre with her husband Bob, son Matt, and her brother Dick.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Bob Pappas who was the love of her life, her parents, Russell and Gladys Zeigler, her sisters, Kathleen Berg, Joann Steele, and Connie Martin, and her brothers, Bill, Dick, and Larry Bodager. She is survived by her loving son and wife, Matt and Kristin McBride, and she was thrilled to have three grandchildren, Emerson, Wyatt, and Caden. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, other family members who loved her dearly, and scores of good friends.
Arrangements will be handled by Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home in Dalton. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in her memory for family and friends to gather in remembrance of her. The sparkle of Dianna’s life here on Earth can now be seen in the night sky. Look up at the stars, and you will see her smile. Online obituary and guest registry are available at www.zakmonbarrenfh.com
