Dianne L. Barnes

CARROLLTON / ORRVILLE, OH – Dianne L. Barnes, age 76, passed away on February 10, 2021.

Born on August 17, 1944 in Doylestown, OH to the late Henry and Evelyn (Lance) Weinsheimer, she was a resident of Carrollton, OH for 10 years, previously of the Doylestown / Orrville area.  Dianne became a licensed beautician out of high school and worked a short time at local salons.  She later retired from Volvo-White in Orrville after 29 years of service. Having attended Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School and Church in her earlier years, she was very active with Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Carrollton. Dianne was a member of the Orrville Farmers and Sportsman Club, and Women of the Moose at the Orrville Moose Lodge #1072. She loved spending time with her family and watching her grandsons in whatever sporting events they participated in.  

Preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Luedy, June (Cliff) Carter, and Dolores Weinsheimer; sister in-law, Donna Weinsheimer; brothers in-law, David Molnar, Albert Rains, she is survived by her husband of 56 years, Robert “Bob”; son, Brett (Lori) Barnes of Minerva, OH; daughter, Tammi (Jack) Rice of Smithville; grandchildren, Evan, and Brennan; brothers, Charles “Sonny” Weinsheimer, Henry “Butch” Weinsheimer; sisters, Madelyn Molnar, Ginny Rains; special friend, Carolyn Lieberth; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Funeral service following Covid-19 guidelines requiring facial coverings, social distancing, and limited number of guests will be on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N.
