DOYLESTOWN – Doris A. Skibicki, a devoted follower of Christ and faithful servant of the Lord passed away on January 24, 2026 at age 91.
Born December 11, 1934 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Thomas and Martha (Byerly) Kurowsky, she was a resident of the Norton/Doylestown/Wadsworth area since 2001, previously from Mingo Junction, OH.
“Mum” as her children would call her was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Always willing to have a conversation and making you feel valued.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Richard (2004) and 5 siblings. She is survived by 2 sisters, Susan (Jim) Foreman of Sun City West, AZ. and Linda (Gerry) Hatcher of Clearfield, PA along with her 6 children, Dr. Rick (Laura) Skibicki of Findlay, OH, Tom Skibicki of Mingo Junction, OH, Diane (Kevin) Whitsett of Doylestown, OH, Kathy (Dave) Sapp of Toronto, OH, Mary Ann (Paul) Garn of Mansfield, OH, Dave (Yvonne) Skibicki of Lake Orion, MI, 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren along with other family and friends.
Calling hours will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 29, 2026 at the Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown, OH, 44230 with a funeral service officiated by Fr. James Maloney beginning at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wadsworth Public Library.
